If the NFL isn’t going to do anything about opposing players putting a forearm to the throat of Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, well then Seahawks coach Jim Mora Jr. wants his players to dish out some of the same punishment.

That’s what Mora said earlier today when he told reporters that he was submitting 17 plays from the Seahawks 31-20 come-from-ahead loss at Arizona to the NFL office for review. Included is a forearm blow from Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett.

“I didn't see it until today,” Mora said. “If they're not going to call it, and it's a vicious game, and they're not going to call it, I don't know. I don't like it when it's our quarterback, but if they're not going to call it then I'd like to see our guys do it to their quarterback. If they're not going to call it.

“I don't know what the rule is. I haven't heard back yet so I don't know what they're seeing there. But if that's not going to be called, then we should be doing it.”

Hasselbeck had difficulty breathing after the play. He was sacked by linebacker Clark Haggans and Dockett landed on top of the pile. According to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times, a television replay showed Dockett pushing down on Hasselbeck’s throat with his forearm.

Dockett has taken offense to the accusation.

“Dear coach mora, its football (stuff) happens if u ever played the game ud understand, really I (wouldn’t) try to hurt matt. He's a good guy.’’

The NFL office might have the final say on this matter.

I agree with Matt N. except perhaps I'd like to see Mr. Westbrook put this all behind him so that he may enjoy the rest of his days watching the Eagles win with his kids.
