Biggs: Eagles could miss more than Westbrook Sunday

Hamstring could sideline CB Brown Brad Biggs

Brian Westbrook wasn’t the only injured Eagle getting attention on Monday as they scramble in Philadelphia now to end a two-game losing skid.

The Eagles travel to Chicago on Sunday night, and the team could be without cornerback Sheldon Brown, according to Bob Brookover of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Westbrook is definitely out for the game after suffering his second concussion in four weeks, and Brown could be held out too with a significant hamstring injury.

Brown has played in 121 consecutive regular-season games, second to only Tampa Bay’s Ronde Barber among active NFL cornerbacks. If he cannot go, the Eagles may have to look for some help on the street as they prepare for Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and they will likely turn to Dimitri Patterson.

“I prepare everyday for the opportunity to play, and if that's the case, I'll most certainly be ready,” Patterson said.

I agree with Matt N. except perhaps I'd like to see Mr. Westbrook put this all behind him so that he may enjoy the rest of his days watching the Eagles win with his kids.
