It comes as no surprise that the Philadelphia Eagles will pick up the roster bonus for Michael Vick.
The quarterback is due a bonus of $1.5 million on Wednesday, and Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports that the team has informed Joel Segal, Vick’s agent, that it intends to make the payment.
Whether or not Vick has bird wings on each side of his helmet come September remains to be seen. The Eagles are expected to seek a trade for at least one of their quarterbacks. Vick, Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb are under contract. But all three could go to training camp with the team.
