Seahawks cut ties with back after he reaches 10th on all-time list Brad Biggs
Edgerrin James moved into the top 10 all-time in rushing on the NFL list on Sunday, and now he’s moving on.
The Seattle Seahawks have terminated the contract of the veteran running back, putting his future in doubt. The 11-year veteran had signed a $2 million, one-year contract with the Seahawks.
He rushed for 125 yards on 46 carries for them, and the 17 yards he picked up in Sunday’s loss at Dallas, moving him past Marcus Allen into 10th place on the all-time rushing list.
James was with the Arizona Cardinals last season and wasn’t cut go until after they selected Beanie Wells in the draft.
The Seahawks used the roster spot to promote wide receiver Mike Hass from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
