Running back to get expanded role on offense Brad Biggs
More work on offense will equate to less work on special teams for Felix Jones on Sunday at Green Bay.
The Dallas Cowboys plan to use fellow running back Tashard Choice or emerging rookie wide receiver Kevin Ogletree on returns against the Packers as Jones gets a bigger role in the offense. Jones hasn’t broken any long returns of late, and they want to preserve him for a role of more significance.
Allen Rossum could be considered for the return role but he is expected to miss his third consecutive game with a hamstring injury.
Jones is wearing a brace on his left knee as protection because of an injury suffered earlier in the season.
