Top 50 from Sports Business Journal has strong NFL ties Brad Biggs
Professional football is well represented when it comes to the latest list from the Sports Business Journal on the 50 most influential people in sports business.
It comes as no surprise that SBJ ranks NFL commissioner Roger Goodell No.2 on the list, noting that how the labor negotiations go will dramatically shape his legacy.
Three owners crack the list—Jerry Jones at No. 9, Robert Kraft at No. 13 and Pat Bowlen at No. 35.
New NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith makes his debut at No. 11.
Steve Bornstein, the CEO of the NFL Network and an executive vice president for media with the league, comes in at No. 31.
The NFL’s general counsel Jeff Pash is No. 40 and the only agents to crack the list are the co-heads of CAA’s football operation, Tom Condon and Ben Dogra.
