Trade out of Atlanta led to cornerback's riches Brad Biggs
If DeAngelo Hall noted that the trade Thomas Dimitroff made to send him to the Oakland Raiders before last season led to untold riches for the veteran cornerback, well, it didn’t make it into an otherwise fine story by Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post.
Guessing, that’s because Hall didn’t say anything about it. But Hall did have some commentary regarding Dimitroff as the Washington Redskins gear up to head to Atlanta this Sunday.
“I ain't trust Dimitroff at all,” Hall said. “He lied to me. He already lied to me. He promised me he was gonna get something done, and he's behind my back trying to shop me. . . . That's one thing: If you keep it straight, 100 (percent) with you, I'm going to keep it 100 (percent) with you. Truthfully, I'm going to fight, claw for you. If you lie to me, I can't trust you. I don't want you.’’
The trade to the Raiders landed Hall a massive contract. He earned $8 million in eight games in Oakland before he was cut loose. The Redskins scooped him up and then rewarded him this past offseason with a $55 million, six-year contract that includes $23 million guaranteed. That’s what we call cashing in.
At least you have to credit Hall for realizing that the turn of events—his trade to Oakland—has helped him where he is currently.
“All the things people said about me, as misunderstood as I am, I probably wouldn't change a thing, because it's made me who I am,” he said. “Had I not been traded from Atlanta to Oakland and got that big contract out there and kinda got lazy, I probably wouldn't have the passion and desire that I have now.”
Perhaps all is well that ends well. Letting go, though, can be a difficult thing.

Hall should be kissing Dimitroff's ass thankyou and buying him a truckload of Kobe beef.
He got huge contracts from 2 teams who obviously can't evaluate talent. Cause even while sitting on my couch I can evaluate that DeAngelo Hall sucks. Throw in the tape of Eddie Royal toasting his ass on Monday night to begin Hall's Raider contract. Yikes. I'm surprised Hall was allowed to leave the Shriner's Burn Center.
This idiot should lose a million every time he opens his no talent yap.
Deangelo Hall could get faked out of his jockstrap by a turtle.

Good to see that Virginia Tech education at work.
D Hall, is he still even in the NFL?, if only he could play as much as he can talk. He is and has always been nothing but a mid-grade corner if that. I have never seen a corner that can be beat for a big play like Hall as often.
His comment that he "got lazy" in Oakland should be the start of a law suit.
He was the worst coverage guy I ever saw while a Raider.
He got burned worse than a shirtless albino at a Cancun tanning contest.
He couldn't cover an ant with a shadow.
His pass protection was equal to his eloquence and vocabulary.

The official injury report will be released this afternoon. Arizona has an injured receiver of its own in Anquan Boldin, who is also battling a sprained ankle.

What a loser. Best move the Falcon's made was getting rid of him.
