Could this rule him out of consideration in Washington? Brad Biggs
Mike Holmgren’s name, along with pretty much every other coach with a Super Bowl ring and not a job, has been linked to the Washington Redskins.
But Holmgren might not have any interest in heading to Washington, not after how owner Daniel Snyder and his right hand man of personnel Vinny Cerrato have treated Jim Zorn, who used to work for Holmgren in Seattle.
Holmgren told Sports Illustrated’s Peter King that a coaching job on the East Coast could interest him, and Washington seems to be one club in the right time zone that will be searching for a new boss come January, if not sooner. But for Holmgren to consider the Redskins, if and when that time comes, he might have to put out of his mind how Zorn has been handled recently with the addition of Sherm Lewis as the extra set of eyes turned playcaller. Lewis, not coincidentally, also used to work for Holmgren before.
“Well, I thought it was very unfair, to put a coach in that position.’’ Holmgren said Monday on the Waddle & Silvy Show on WMVP-AM 1000 in Chicago. “The position they put Jim in, you know, it shouldn’t have happened in my opinion. If you’re upset with me as a play caller or how the team is going, fire me. But don’t do that, don’t pull the rug from under me, tie my hands, make me look foolish. That’s a poor choice of words. Take away what I came there for to do in the first place, don’t do that. And so that was my feeling.
“Sherm Lewis is a great guy, was a great coordinator and a great friend. I thought he was put into a little bit of a tough situation too. As the season goes on, I think people recognize that. That bothered me a lot. Jim Zorn is one of the nice people. I’m a nice guy, but I’m not that nice. Jim Zorn is really a nice man and so what they did, I did not like it at all.”

Why would Holmgren want to coach the 'skins? That is a poor situation for a coach.
Yeah well Washington has the same problem Oakland has - no one with any brains will coach there considering the circus and dysfunction surrounding both organizations.
Some day Danny will learn money isn't the same as happiness but it's doubtful it'll be in this lifetime.

Holmgren knows and upholds the code. No surprise at all. The Bills are also on the eastern side....
