Veteran offensive tackle Levi Jones has completed his tour of half of the NFC North.

Jones had a tryout for the Detroit Lions today, according to a league source, which marks the second team in the division that has taken a look at him in recent weeks. The Green Bay Packers brought in Jones for a look but ultimately re-signed a player they are familiar with in veteran Mark Tauscher.

It was a busy day for the Lions as they also sent defensive tackle Chuck Darby packing. Taking Darby’s spot on the roster was cornerback DeMarcus Faggins, who spent the last seven seasons with the Houston Texans, making 36 starts.

Jones would figure to be a fit right now in Seattle and Washington, two teams with decimated offensive lines. If the Lions do no act quickly with Jones, the former Cincinnati Bengal could have a home soon. The Redskins are expected to be without left tackle Chris Samuels this week against Kansas City.
