The Chicago Bears could strike quickly with their No. 1 choice in free agency.

Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reported that Julius Peppers, the coveted free agent defensive end, will visit Halas Hall today.

The Bears are in desperate need of a boost for their pass rush, and are losing starting left end Adewale Ogunleye in free agency. Peppers could have a contract in place before he arrives. Stay tuned.

Lovie Smith arrived in NC as the clock struck 12:01. I'm pretty sure Smith will make sure he gets on the plane going to O'Hare.

Jermichael Finley arrived last year and is now the best Tightend in the North and one of the best in Football. Big, catches well and runs like a receiver. If Jennings doesn't stop dropping catchable balls, Finley will replace him as Rodgers receiver of choice
