Chris Williams leads Bears with 5 penalties Brad Biggs
The San Francisco 49ers got the victory last week when they hosted the Chicago Bears, and then a trio of Niners got zapped with fines by the NFL.
Delanie Walker was fined $5,000 for kicking an opponent, Tarell Brown was fined $5,000 for taunting and Arnaz Battle was fined $5,000 for a facemask violation.
The Bears didn’t leave empty-handed, however. Right tackle Chris Williams was fined $5,000 for unnecessarily striking an opponent. Williams picked up a personal foul for jumping into a pile late, a 15-yarder that set the offense back on what was the attempted game-winning drive. With five penalties, Williams has more than any other player on the team.

At least the Bucs are getting him back out there because rookie quarterback Josh Freeman needs all the help he can get. A legitimate No. 1 target is always a good thing.
