Biggs: Redskins name Hightower special teams assistant
Previous NFL stop was with Texans Brad Biggs
The Washington Redskins named Richard Hightower a special teams assistant under Danny Smith today.
Hightower was a wide receivers coach at the University of Minnesota this last season. In the two previous years, he was a special teams assistant for the Houston Texans where he was on the same staff as Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
He played in college at the University of Texas. Smith is one of the few holdovers for Mike Shanahan from the Jim Zorn regime.
