Veteran tore ligament in left ankle Thursday night Brad Biggs
Chicago Bears running back Kevin Jones will miss the entire season after suffering a torn ligament in his left ankle Thursday night at Soldier Field.
Jones jumped near the sideline on his seventh carry of the game and came down awkwardly on his left ankle. X-rays were negative but an MRI performed this morning showed the damage. He will require surgery and the rehabilitation process is expected to take eight to 10 months.
He re-signed with the Bears in March, getting a $3.5 million, two-year contract to come back as the complement to starter Matt Forte. Jones suffered a torn ACL with the Detroit Lions in 2007.
This means that Forte will now be backed by Garrett Wolfe and Adrian Peterson.
Brad,
Will the Bears waive Jones now like they did with Dvoracek?
