49ers tight end says "we can destroy their guys up front" Brad Biggs
The San Francisco 49ers are mired in a four-game losing streak after a nice start to the season but that hasn’t taken away any of their swagger, at least when it comes to tight end Vernon Davis.
They are gearing up to host the Chicago Bears Thursday night in the kickoff to the NFL Network’s coverage of games this fall, and it’s apparent that Davis has had ample time to watch plenty of tape on the Bears vs. say Arizona and Cincinnati. The Bears are coming off a 41-21 loss to the Cardinals and they were blown out 45-10 by the Bengals three weeks ago.
“I think we can destroy their guys up front,’’ Davis told Bay Area reporters earlier today. “I don't see anything spectacular about their front line. Their LB’s, I think we can handle them pretty well. I like [defensive end] Adewale Ogunluye, I think he's performing well for them, but he's the only guy I like in their line.’’
That’s is your basic calling out right there.
Davis looks to be on the path to his first Pro Bowl appearance. He leads the 49ers with 42 receptions for 477 yards and has seven touchdowns. The Bears surrendered five touchdown passes to Kurt Warner and Carson Palmer in their recent losses. The franchise had gone 14 years without allowing an opposing passer to have five touchdown throws in a game.
“They've given up a lot of points,’’ Davis said. “There's an opportunity for us, especially there in their secondary, for us to make plays. We just have to go out and do it. Enough talking, go do it.”

That was dumb, but the Bears are such sad sacks that I don't see how they can win this week. Their offensive line doesn't even slow the d-line down.
He only leads the league in TD catches. But he has no business talking after 4 straight losses.
He's on pace for like 1000 yards and 15 TDs. So yeah, I'd say he's earned some (emphasis on this word) right to talk trash.
Besides, he's only telling the truth. The Bears front 7 besides Ogunluye and Briggs sucks beyond sucking. Even if they use this as bulletin board material, my money's on the 9'ers, 4 losses in a row and all. Tell me how they're gonna stop Frank Gore. If you said they won't, you probably have the right answer!
Lighten up dude. The "nudity" is hardly shocking - yes they're naked, but they're positioned so you see less skin than you would in a day at the beach. The human body is not evil.

Well, I know who to put my money on now this week.... What has Vernon Davis done in this league to say another team's guys stink? The history of this league is littered with guys who shot their mouths off and had to eat it afterward.... What a tool this guy is....
