Bills cut Alan Branch after DWI arrest

The Buffalo Bills cut defensive tackle Alan Branch after he didn't play in the team's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a drunk driving arrest.

Branch was arrested at 2 a.m. Saturday after police officers saw him vomiting out of the driver's side door. he then failed a field sobriety test and had a blood-alcohol content of .14 percent, over the league limit of .08.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released from custody. Now, he's out of a job.

"I found out somewhere around noon-time, mid-day [Saturday]," Bills coach Doug Marrone said. "I just had so much on my mind. I tried calling him, couldn't get a hold of him, so I got a hold of him some other way -- through other people -- and just said, 'Hey, I'm meeting with you tomorrow.' But that's all I know for a fact."
