The Buffalo Bills announced that team CEO Russ Brandon has been promoted to team president, the club announced Monday.
Brandon has a background in baseball, having worked for the Florida Marlins and assumes the role of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the franchise, a role previously held by owner Ralph Wilson.
General manager Buddy Nix will remain on board and will oversee the football side of operations. Nix's first order of business is to find a new head coach after Chan Gailey was fired on Monday.
