The Buffalo Bills declared linebacker Shawne Merriman out for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.
Merriman's problematic Achilles flared up again in Thursday's practice, and he was unable to practice on Friday. At that time, the Bills listed him as doubtful for the game.
However, on Saturday, the Bills announced that Merriman would miss the game.
The Bills could be short-handed at linebacker as Chris Kelsay is out with a calf injury.
