The Buffalo Bills have locked up rookie offensive tackle Ed Wang to a four-year deal, a league source confirmed.
Wang is the Bills' fifth-round draft pick from Virginia Tech, the first Chinese-American to be drafted into the NFL.
Selected one pick ahead of Chicago Bears rookie cornerback Joshua Moore, Wang received a signing bonus of $198,500 with base salaries of $320,000, $405,000, $490,000 and $575,000.
The total base value of Moore's rookie deal was nearly $1.99 million.
If an escalator clause is triggered, the fourth year of the deal could be increased greatly to boost the maximum value of the contract.
Wang is a 6-foot-5, 301-pounder who runs the 40-yard dash in 5.09 seconds and bench presses 225 pounds 28 times.
The converted tight end anchored the Hokies' offensive line for the past two years with 132 knockdown blocks. He was a second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection last season.
"He's got a lot of things going for him," Bills general manager Buddy Nix said following the draft. "Now, it's up to us to develop those things."
