Jaguars first-round pick avoids jail time with fine, community service. Terry McCormick
The attorney for Jacksonville Jaguars first-round pick Justin Blackmon entered a guilty plea for the wide receiver on a drunken driving charge in Oklahoma, according to the Associated Press.
Blackmon was arrested in Oklahoma on June 3 with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit in the state.
By entering the guilty plea, Blackmon avoids jail time provided he pays a $500 fine and completes 50 hours of community service work. Blackmon, who is still unsigned by the Jaguars, might not avoid punishment from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell under the league' personal conduct policy, however.
