Rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert left Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans early in the first quarter. Gabbert ran for 11-yards and slid after getting the first down. Texans safety Glover Quin and linebacker Brian Cushing hit Gabbert as he went down. Tania Ganguli with the Florida Times-Union and Friday Forecast contributor tweeting Gabbert left the game with bruised ribs. He was seen getting his ribs taped on the sideline. His return is probable.
Luke McCown is in for Gabbert. McCown is the only other quarterback on the Jag’s roster at this time.
Update: Gabbert is back in at QB. He returned after missing part of a series.
