Brady Quinn has gained a much needed change of NFL scenery.

The Cleveland Browns have traded him to the Denver Broncos in exchange for fullback Peyton Hillis and a pair of conditional draft picks, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer.

UPDATE: The Broncos have now announced the move, and here are the terms of the trade: Brady Quinn heads to Denver with Peyton Hills, a 2011 sixth-round pick and a conditional 2012 draft pick going to Cleveland. The transaction becomes official when physicals are passed.

The handwriting was quickly written on the wall for Quinn once team president Mike Holmgren got to town and began making moves.

He cut Derek Anderson, traded for Seneca Wallace and has signed Jake Delhomme.

Now, Quinn is an ex-Brown after throwing eight touchdowns and seven interceptions in 10 games last season.

“I appreciate everything Brady did for us last year and in his three seasons with the Cleveland Browns,” Browns coach Eric Mangini said in a statement. “He is professional in the way he goes about doing his job and worked extremely hard at every aspect of his game. I wish him the best of success in Denver.”

The former Notre Dame first-round draft pick will be playing for Broncos coach Josh McDaniels, who has close ties to Quinn's coach at Notre Dame, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis.

Out of all of the teams he could have been traded to, this seems like a solid fit from a scheme and coaching standpoint.

If Denver is gonna get anything out of this guy they're gonna have to put him on the special Bill Romanowski vitamins.

Gotta give props to Holmgren. The moment he comes into town, he ships the trash out and brings in more draft picks. Let's see what he can do with this defunct team. They've had, what, one or two good seasons this decade?

I 'm Happy for Hillis But sorry for the Broncos. I hope that McDummy gets fired soon, as it is itwill take years for the Broncos to overcome the damage that this FOOL has done. As a Now former Bronco fan I hope Hillis runs wild all over McDummy and his Team that he has distroyed.

Good for Hillis. He did not fit into Josh's playbook. Watch how well Hillis does at the Browns.

Umm, Plissken?

Quinn's already the strongest QB in the NFL, how much stronger do you want him to get?

Best thing that could have happened to Quinn. He didn't deserve to be in Cleveland.

It always amazing with in reading all these post, why all these negative people here aren't "Head Coaches" at lease some where in the NFL, just by reading these comments I would think there's one team that can use your services.

LOL!!!! Peyton Hillis and a bunch of draft picks for Brady effin Quinn?????? So now you have Neckbeard (Orton), Quinn and Simms to battle it out for the QB position. Wow! Talk about bottom feeders.

Good for Peyton... that dude was/is a beast and deserved more than what McHoodie was going to give him.... I hope Holmgren uses him more like Shanahan did.

I am happy for Hillis. Mcdummy is running the broncos to the ground. Hillis for Quinn though. We lost hillis, cutler, scheffler, and soon to be Marshall, it will be years if not decades to fix this shit.

I hope the Patriots steal Marshall from Josh for their low first round pick. I would love to see the REAL Hoodie rob Hoodie Jr. blind by signing Marshall to a poison pill offer sheet. NINE starters on defense older than 30, Orton, Simms and Quinn, no Marshall, no Hillis, no Scheffler, no Cutler, no class.

I'm surprised how many Denver fans don't like this move. Hillis was never going to play for McDaniels so why keep him. Quinn got off to a bad start with a bad team and there's a good chance that he beats out Orton for the starting job. Lord knows...Chris Simms wasn't the right back up. I'm also confused about how much McDaniel's gets abused. Jay Cutler was unfairly sent away, but it's not like they were a consistent playoff team before McDaniel's arrived. I'll take McDaniel's team (on paper) vs. the previous couple Broncos teams easily. When the Broncos make the playoffs this year by winning the AFC West...all Broncos fans will be on the same page again,

Brady Quinn always reminded me of John Elway, and he will do well in Denver. He will come back to haunt the Browns in the playoffs. Mark my words.

This the same dude with the Elway comparisons? I mean come on! He may resemble Elways physical stature butt hats where it begins & ends w/that comparison. No close to his athleticism nor his arm. Both strength & accuracy & John wasn't the most accurate, but certain;y the most dynamic. A word I can't come close to associating w/Quinn.

The Broncos are not a play off team. They haven't been for years. Peyton Hillis, you may recall only started for Denver after the 3 running backs before him got injured, and that was under Shanahan. While he performed admirably, I remember Olandis Gary and Mike "what's his name" who also had 1,000 yard seasons for Denver. Remmember golden boy Clinton Portis? Denver's offensive line was one of the best ever, and even a cave man could have rushed for 1000 yards behind it. On the other hand, I really like Brady Quinn, and to have to give up a sub running back and a couple of conditional draft choices is no more risk than keeping them and hoping Hillis will be MVP and we'll find another Rod Smiith or Terrell Davis in those later rounds. This was a good move. I hope it works for both teams.

Chef fans and Brownbagheads talking smack? Who next, InsaneClownPosse Raiderfan? Win 2 or 3 games a year then run it.....lol. Denver gives up a backup fullback, a sixth, and a seventh for your first round quarterback and you run your pie-hole? Chef fan pays what, thirty-six million guaranteed to a career backup from NE and now looks like he's going to be cut after the 2010 season? I wonder when the Lions fans will chime in on how smart they've been for the last ten years.

Jeremiah,

I don't think that Cutler was unfairly sent away. They gave the baby a month to get his act together after those Cassel rumors came out, and he never did. If it would have been unfair, he would have been traded as soon as Josh could have.

Goal line runner, part time H back. Conditional picks, not much to lose for a guy who knows your system. This could be a value for both teams.

Seneca Wallace? When Cribbs is there ok so maybe SW has logged moreQB time but Cribbs can do so much including play QB ask him...Derrick not as good as Brady hmm ? Maybe massive changes need to be made Jake with an OL to protect his blindside and last yrs WR liiving up to hype & will they draft Defender out of Fla or trade some of those future picks for earlier help now OL or Def or rb cause I doubt Hillis is the Beast w/o Shanahan. Holmgren what's next? a bomb? You need Farvre for that and he's not in Cleve It's still a mistake by the Lake. Maybe they can turn to those machine shops and manufacture some talent...They need so much i ceertainly don't the answers but the needs are glaring and I can't imagine holgren succeeding or expecting to do so what a monumental undertaking and impossible task he should be paid a huge bonus if successful however revenue must be generated and reciprocated by his guarantees i dare him.

Everyone mark my words, this will come back to bite the Browns square in the a$$! Quinn was never given a realistic chance to succeed in Cleveland with an O-line that couldn't block a hallway, let alone a defense!

Brady Quinn was not as good as his draft position, but he's not a throwaway either. McDaniels' claim to fame is that he molds good quarterbacks, and I think McDaniels got somebody that he can mold, a moderate piece of talent but at least he sees something in Quinn.

Remember, last year McDaniels traded Jay Cutler to the Bears for (nyuk nyuk) Ordinary Orton (and some high draft choices). Denver was supposed to live in the cellar with their new coach, and Chicago was playoff-bound, but in the end Denver got more wins than Chicago.

i'm an unabashed shanahan fan; i consider my broncos hijacked, and will root for them once mcdaniels is gone, but...

as much as i like hillis, and the browns got a good player, the quinn trade goes to the broncos.

quinn is not elway, why are we even discussing this?

we'll see if mcdaniels "molds good qb's", he proved nothing last year.

here's mcdaniels' chance to shine...
