When tackles Eric  Fisher and Luke Joeckel went off the boards at one and two at the top of the draft to Kansas City and Jacksonville, respectively, it was no great surprise that the Miami Dolphins jumped into the No. 3 spot, making a trade with the Oakland Raiders.

But instead of grabbing Lane Johnson, who went to Philadelphia with the fourth pick, the Dolphins grabbed Oregon defensive end/linebacker Dion Jordan with the pick.

That succession of moves leaves open the possibility that the Fins might still want to acquire franchised left tackle Branden Albert from the Chiefs, who may consider Albert expandable now that Fisher is in the fold.

The Chiefs and Dolphins are expected to resume talks today regarding Albert, per the Associated Press. The Chiefs had wanted a second-round pick in return. It will be interesting to see if Miami makes that move and gives Kansas City its asking price in exchange for Albert.
