Brandon Browner visits Patriots, might visit Redskins

Free agent cornerback Brandon Browner visited the New England Patriots on Thursday, a league source confirmed.

However, a contract isn't imminent due to complications with the contract language and the fact that Browner is slated to serve a four-game suspension to start the 2014 season. Browner was initially suspended indefinitely but had it reduced in connection to the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

As of now, there is no deal in place for Browner to join New England, which would strengthen the Patriots' secondary even more with Darrelle Revis recently being signed.

There are conflicting reports about whether Browner will visit the Redskins on Friday or not.
