Brandon Marshall continues to criticize Suh's hit on Jay Cutler

The NFL ruled that the hit Ndamukong Suh put on Jay Cutler that resulted in bruised ribs for the Chicago Bears quarterback was legal.

Cutler has said he had no problem with Suh’s hit on a sack in Monday night’s meeting at Soldier Field. Bears coach Lovie Smith also said he saw nothing wrong with it.

But Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall has taken exception with the aggressive tackle by the controversial Detroit Lions defensive lineman.

Marshall took to his personal Twitter account hours after the Bears’ win to criticize Suh:

“A Suh. What u did to Jay wasn't cool. Great players don't have to do that.”

“A Suh. Something I've learned and now passing down to you. Succeed with character”

Asked about it on Wednesday, Marshall pressed on.

“I'm not going to back off on that,” he said. “I already said what I have to say but I think Jay is in a position with you guys that anything he says may be taken the wrong way. So I think it's important for his teammates to maybe speak for him at times. I'm around Jay every single day on and off the field so I know how he feels. And for me, I just think it wasn't a good football play.”

So, is that what Cutler thinks?

“It wasn't a good football play,” Marshall said.

They can all do something about in on the field when the NFC North rivals meet in Week 17 at Ford Field.
