You can go home again. Braylon Edwards is proof of that.
The veteran wide receiver is rejoining the Jets for the third time.
Edwards will sign a one-year deal as long as he passes a physical Thursday morning. That's not expected to be an issue.
The former Cleveland Browns first-round draft pick and University of Michigan standout was claimed off waivers last December after he was cut by the Seattle Seahawks.
Edwards was previously with the Jets in 2010 and 2009.
The Jets need Edwards with Santonio Holmes sidelined with a foot injury and on the physically unable to perform list.
Wide receivers Austin Collie and Laurent Robinson visited the Jets this week, but both have injury concerns.
Edwards is athletic and tall and excels on the jump ball. He's a physical blocker, too.
