Breaking down D'Qwell Jackson's $22 million deal

Indianapolis Colts veteran middle linebacker D'Qwell Jackson's four-year, $22 million contract includes $11 million guaranteed with a $1 million signing bonus, according to a league source.

Jackson is due a $4.5 million base salary for 2014 that's fully guaranteed. He has a salary-cap figure of $4.75 million this year.

In 2015, he has an $870,000 base salary that's fully guaranteed if he's on the roster on the fifth day of the 2015 league year. He has a $4.6 million roster bonus fully guaranteed if he's on the roster on March 12, 2014.

The roster bonus is guaranteed for skill and injury at the time of his signing.

In 2015, he has a $5.75 million salary-cap figure.

In 2016, Jackson has a $5.5 million base salary and a $5.75 million salary-cap figure.

In 2017, Jackson has a $5 million base salary and a $5.75 million salary-cap figure

He's due a $500,000 roster bonus on the fifth day of the 2017 league year.
