Brent Celek has had a rough offseason so far as he underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia and a torn labrum in his hip shortly after things concluded for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Now, he’s plain lucky. Celek was not injured in a DUI crash early this morning in which he was a passenger. According to the Associated Press, no one was injured when the vehicle Celek was travelling in crashed on an off-ramp from the interstate in South Philadelphia, not far from Lincoln Financial Field.
The driver, who was not identified, was arrested on charges of DUI after failing a field-sobriety test. Presumably, they were out celebrating for Celek, who turned 27 on Wednesday. It’s a blessing no one was injured.
