A spokesman for Tennessee Titans wideout Kenny Britt says the receiver's only involvement in the stabbing incident in Jersey City early Sunday was taking his injured friend to the hospital.
The Jersey Journal received a statement from an unidentified spokesman for the Titans star, which said, Britt “has made himself available to cooperate.”
“Kenny was leaving a dinner cooked by his friends’ parents when he found his friend, who had left earlier, injured outside,” the statement said.
“Kenny immediately brought his friend to the hospital and was there with the injured friend’s family for several hours, but was not otherwise involved in the incident.
“It was not a house party, Kenny’s brother was not injured (and wasn’t even there) and Kenny has made himself available to cooperate with the authorities investigation of this matter.”
Police apparently still want to question Britt and others about the incident. A gunshot that was fired about an hour and a half after Britt dropped his friend off at the hospital is also a part of the investigation as well
