Fear is defensive end's season could be over. Terry McCormick
Defensive end Jason Hunter had just recently moved to the first team at defensive end for the Denver Broncos.
But after a triceps injury, the fear is that he could be lost for the season, says Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Hunter is expected to miss at least two months time with the injury, which could force him to injured reserve. Many times a torn triceps muscle requires surgery and a lengthy amount of time to heal. Tennessee Titans center Eugene Amano was lost for the season with a similar injury.
With Hunter out, at least for the foreseeable future, it opens the door for Robert Ayer, who had been dropped to the second team, to reclaim his starting position.
