The Denver Broncos have reached a deal with second-round pick Derek Wolfe, their top selection in the 2012 draft.

According to the Denver Post, the deal is for $5.2 million overall with $3.2 million in guaranteed money.

Wolfe, a defensive tackle from the University of Cincinnati, won't be able to take the field with his new Broncos teammates, however, until after the school year is over at Cincinnati on June 9 due to league rules that govern such things. It means he will miss all the Broncos' OTAs.

It's frustrating because I want to be out there with my teammates,” Wolfe said from his home in Lisbon, Ohio. “But it's one of those things where it's out of my control. I've been working out back here at home. I wish I was back there, believe me.”
