Broncos cut running back Chris Brown

The Denver Broncos released undrafted rookie running back Chris Brown, the team announced.

Brown rushed for 2,923 yards and 42 touchdowns at Oklahoma.

The Broncos also officially announced the previously reported signing of undrafted rookie wide receiver Dicky Lyons, which we noted on Sunday.

Lyons tried out for the team at its weekend minicamp.

Lyons caught 141 career passes for 1,752 yards and 18 touchdowns at Kentucky.

He also returned 29 kickoffs for a 23.7 average.

His father, Dicky Lyons Sr., was a fourth-round draft pick of the Atlanta Falcons. He also played wide receiver at Kentucky and had his jersey retired.
