Florida quarterback is working out for Denver today. Joe Fortenbaugh
Add the Denver Broncos to the list of potential suitors for quarterback Tim Tebow.
The former Heisman Trophy winner is scheduled to work out for Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Brian Xanders on Monday, per a report from NFL.com.
The 6-3, 236-pound senior completed 67.8% of his passes (first in SEC, 12th in NCAA), for 2,895 yards (second in SEC) and 21 touchdowns (fifth) for the 13-1 Gators in 2009. Tebow completed 66.4% of his passes (661 of 995) during his four-year career in Gainesville.
The Broncos currently hold seven total draft picks, including the 11th overall selection in the first round. Denver has four picks in the top 80, with two coming in the second round.
Tebow—who isn’t expected to make it out of Thursday’s first round—has already worked out for the Bills, Redskins, Patriots, Seahawks and Browns.
The 22-year-old senior will be without question the top storyline in this year’s draft. Some of the more likely scenarios predict a team (possibly Jacksonville or Buffalo) trading back into the bottom of the first round in an effort to land the former Gator signal-caller.
The current odds of Tebow getting drafted in the first round are 2:1, according to SportsBetting.com.
