The Denver Broncos have cut offensive guard Mitch Erickson.
According to the Denver Post, Erickson was released because the Broncos are transitioning to a new blocking scheme that emphasizes size and power.
A former South Dakota State player, Erickson is undersized at 6-foot-5, 286 pounds.
Erickson has been on the Broncos' practice squad for the past two seasons.
