Cleveland Browns rookie outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo, a first-round draft pick from LSU, is staying in the hospital an extra day after bruising his lung Thursday night.
The Browns are having him stay overnight in The Cleveland Clinic.
"There wasn't a big hit that you could see," Browns coach Rob Chudzinski told reporters today. Obviously he had a number of plays with some contact, but it was hard to determine which hit it was."
Mingo had some issues breathing, prompting the hospital stay.
"Anytime that there's that kind of injury they just want to make sure everything is OK in terms of his health and breathing and everything else," Chudzinski said.
Mingo could return in a few weeks.
Meanwhile, the Broncos may place running back Dion Lewis on injured reserve with a broken leg and starting offensive guard Jason Pinkston suffered a high ankle sprain. It's regarded as a long-term injury.
