The Cleveland Browns and No. 4 overall pick Trent Richardson are "close" to an agreement, says the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
The only snag in the completion of the deal, according to the report, is the offset language. Richardson is in Cleveland and apparently ready to begin practicing when camp opens, provided a deal is completed.
The report indicated the Browns and agent Jimmy Sexton were prepared to negotiate into the night to broker a deal if needed.
