Cleveland eyes Ellerbe, Cason among free agents. Terry McCormick
Give the Cleveland Browns new hierarchy credit for one thing - they are taking some aggressive swings in the pre-free agency period.
The Browns, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, have already made overtures toward Baltimore Ravens soon-to-be free agent linebacker Dannell Ellerbe and San Diego Chargers cornerback Antoine Cason.
The Browns in recent days have also been speculated as a potential landing spot for defensive end Cliff Avril, and even could be a fit for James Harrison, who was cut by the rival Pittsburgh Steelers earlier today.
