Panthers offensive coordinator comes home to Cleveland. Terry McCormick
The Cleveland Browns have hired Rob Chudzinski as their new head coach, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot.
Chudzinski has been the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator, but served two stints with the Browns as an assistant coach, including being offensive coordinator for two years when Romeo Crennel was head coach.
Chudzinski is a native of Toledo and a life-long Browns fan. His hiring comes after reports that the Browns had interviewed former Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt a second time on Thursday.
