The Cleveland Browns have placed wide receiver Davone Bess on the reserve-non-football illness list for personal reasons for the remainder of the season.

Bess is dealing with a "serious family matter" in Oakland, Calif., according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Per the report, Bess has been dealing with family issues throughout the season and grew up in a tough neighborhood in Oakland and is concerned about family who still live there.

Bess has caught 42 passes for 362 yards and two touchdowns this season.
