Police say that nose guard had a loaded handgun in his bag Aaron Wilson
In the wake of Cleveland Browns nose guard Shaun "Big Baby" Rogers being arrested at the Cleveland airport for possession of a loaded handgun, the team has issued a statement.
"We are aware of what transpired with Shaun Rogers," team president Mike Holmgren said ."We will continue to gather additional information, and until the legal process has taken its course, we will reserve any further comment."
According to the police, Rogers was arrested shortly after noon EST after a loeaded .45 caliber handgun was found in his bag while going through security.
Rogers reportedly told police that he didn't know the gun was in his bag.
Per the Cleveland Plain Dealer, no charges have been filed.
Under laws governing airport security, this kind of alleged crime is categorized as a third-degree felony.
