The Cleveland Browns on Wednesday have signed veteran linebacker Larry Grant following a successful minicamp tryout.
Grant is a former Ohio State standout.
Drafted in the seventh round by the San Francisco 49ers in 2008, Grant has 64 tackles, five sacks, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He has also played for the St. Louis Rams and Chicago Bears.
Grant played in two games last season for the Bears.
He attended City College of San Francisco before finishing his collegiate career at Ohio State. In 2005, Grant was named junior college National Player of the Year. He played in four straight national championship games (two at City College and two at Ohio State).
