The Cleveland Browns will release running back Montario Hardesty, according to a report from NFL.com.
Hardesty is currently on injured reserve but is expected to be medically cleared by doctors on Monday. When that happens, the Browns plan to release him.
Hardesty had knee surgery in August. He's battled knee injuries throughout his career after being drafted in the second round of the 2010 draft.
For his career thus far, Hardesty has totaled 537 yards and a touchdown.
