Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano doesn’t expect to deal with any lingering effects from a fight during the offseason program between defensive tackle Brian Price and first-round draft pick Mark Barron.
Reports of the meeting room brawl surfaced last month ad Schiano confirmed the incident to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
Price allegedly punched Barron after the safety from Alabama refused to change seats in the meeting room.
Is Schiano worried about this issue carrying over into training camp?
“I hope not,” he said, per Stroud. “We all make mistakes. Be men about it and let's go. Ultimately, everything we do has one goal and that's to bring that trophy back here. We have to put our own personal preferences and whatever disagreements we have aside to do what's best for the club.”
Schiano was also disappointed that an in-house matter like this made it public.
“What happens inside our meetings rooms and that stuff, I like to keep amongst the team,” he said. “Certainly, somehow it got out. I'm not thrilled about that, but I'd rather keep that inside.”.
