Jets coach's father responds to Dungy's criticism of his son Aaron Wilson
Rex Ryan's father, Buddy Ryan, didn't take kindly to Tony Dungy's disapproving comments about his son, including a remark that he wouldn't hire the younger Ryan because of his penchant for cursing.
During an interview with 97.5 The Fanatic, Ryan said: "I don't think he had applied for a job with what's his name, either."
Dungy also made the point that he wants NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to step in and talk with Ryan.
"Well, it's none of Dungy's business," Buddy Ryan said.
He added that the entire episode is being blown out of proportion.
One point that's being lost in the situation: It's HBO, a cable network, and the program is broadcast at night.
And this is the NFL where salty language is commonplace.
