Colorado cornerback runs a 4.38 40-yard dash in Boulder. Joe Fortenbaugh
Colorado cornerback Ben Burney isn’t one of the bigger names in this year’s draft class.
Heck, he wasn’t even invited to the combine.
But that didn’t stop the senior cornerback from running a blazing-fast 4.38 40-yard-dash at Colorado’s pro day on Wednesday, according to Gil Brandt of NFL.com.
Burney—who measured in at 5-10 5/8 and 202 lbs—also ran a 4.45 in Boulder on Wednesday afternoon. In addition, he recorded a 39-inch vertical jump, 10-1 broad jump, ran a 4.15-second short shuttle and 6.71 three-cone drill and put up 16 reps on the bench press (225 lbs).

Bear pick late & a move of Tillman to FS? Theres a lot of prospects out there at CB & this guy just adds to the incredible DB depth. I also love Akwasi Owusu-Ansah,(mr. born on sunday),as a CB w/a move of Tillman to FS or just putting him at FS. Someone needs to give me a spot in the war room damn it!
