The bye week comes at a perfect time for the New Orleans Saints, at least when it comes to tight end Jimmy Graham.
After finally claiming their first victory of the season Sunday night, perhaps the Saints would like to roll to the next game in an effort to keep some momentum. But the tight end, who was limited to one catch in the win over the San Diego Chargers because of an ankle injury, left the locker room wearing a walking boot, according to Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
“We’ll see,” was all Saints interim to the interim coach Aaron Kromer would say about Graham.
The dynamic tight end is a major part of the Saints’ passing game and he is needed. With a bye, Graham has extra time to rest before an Oct. 21 game at Tampa Bay.
