Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell wasn't seriously hurt during a loss to the San Francisco 49ers where he was carted off the field and briefly hospitalized.
According to team spokesman Mark Dalton, Campbell was released from the hospital and has returned home to Arizona.
He was able to attend an early-morning team meeting, all encouraging signs following what initially looked like a scary injury.
"I want to give a big thank you for all the support and kind words today," Campbell wrote on Twitter. "I am feeling good and anxious to return!"
