New Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell was asked about the possibility of Tim Tebow landing back in Florida with his hometown team, and quickly shot it down.
“I can’t imagine a scenario where he will be a Jacksonville Jaguar.” Caldwell said via the Florida Times-Union.
An ESPN report a few weeks ago had speculated that the Jags would be Tebow's landing spot once the New York Jets got rid of him.
On the coaching front, the quick link has been to Caldwell's old college buddy Greg Roman, the offensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers. But apparently the first interview, per multiple reports, will go to St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, who spoke with the Jaguars about the vacancy when Mike Mularkey had the job last year.
