Detroit Lions star wide receiver Calvin Johnson told ESPN he's wearing a split on his finger for precautionary reasons.

Johnson had surgery on the finger after last season.

Johnson may wear the splint for a while this season.

Johnson's finger was stuck at 90 degrees during last seaosn.

Johnson has recovered from finger and knee surgeries and has had an impressive training camp.
