The Arizona Cardinals re-signed offensive lineman Jeremy Bridges to a three-year contract today.

The Cardinals plucked Bridges off the discard pile last September after he had been released by the Washington Redskins. Hey, maybe that is one of the reasons why the Redskins had no depth whatsoever on their line last season. He stuck with the Cardinals and appeared in all 16 games, making four starts at left tackle when Mike Gandy was sidelined. Previously, Bridges played for the Carolina Panthers.

Bridges could be in the mix for a starting job but that will be determined by the remaining moves the Cardinals do or do not make. Gandy is a free agent and at this point it looks unlikely that he will return. Arizona could move Levi Brown from right tackle to left tackle. The bottom line is the Cardinals have more depth with Bridges on board.

It's a measure of how inept the Redskins coaches and FO were last year that they cut this guy and kept guys that couldn't make other team's practice squads.

But they are resting it all on last fridays signings, instead of striking while the iron is hot, and before someone else scoops him up. If he doesn't it willonly expose Lovies Tampa 2 for what it is Obsolete, and Jerry for what he is, a Really Bad GM who can't judge talent and a man without a plan!
