Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive guard Carl Nicks remains sidelined at practice due to the lingering effects from an infection that required him to undergo two foot surgeries.
He has passed his physical, according to Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith.
Nicks expects to be back by training camp.
Nicks has only played nine games for Tampa Bay since being signed to a five-year, $47.5 million contract.
“My status is on schedule," Nicks said. "Looking forward to being ready for training camp. Honestly, I think I’ll be ready to play.”
